School Camps

Our camps specialise in sustainability, marine, coastal and indigenous education. Plastics and their impacts on our environment is a passion and through our partner the Tangaroa Blue Foundation, students participate in the Australian Marine Debris Initiative.

Boat rides in the ocean are always a highlight, as well as the treasure hunting on the beach. Our activities are unique and can be tailored to support your curriculum. CCTV is located in common areas with access granted to teachers on mobile devices through our WiFi.

History

Portland has a history as one of the foremost whaling areas in the world and is the site of Victoria’s first permanent European settlement. Commercial whalers resided in the area and the remains of the whaling jetty which serviced three whaling stations is a short walk away.

Portland is the traditional home of the Gunditjmara and indigenous entertainment and education can be arranged. The historic convincing grounds are located directly next to the property and the Budj Bim Natural Heritage Landscape is only a short drive away.
