Portland Bay Lodge is a family owned business with Dean Beckman conducting activities for school groups and Andrew and Lorraine Ingram the permanent caretakers. The team will do their best to make your stay as relaxing and memorable as possible.
Dean Beckman
Dean has a degree in Marine Biology with honours, and an MBA from Deakin University. He commenced his PhD but deferred due to an offer to work with Tyrecycle, a company in its infancy that has since become Australia's largest and most respected tyre recycler. Dean was the CEO and President of the Australian Tyre Recyclers Association (ATRA) during his 16 year career. He has since taken time away from the corporate life to be with his own children and and educate school groups about the marine and coastal environment.
Lorraine Ingram
Lorraine moved to Portland from Melbourne to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. She has spent many holidays in Portland due to her family's love of fishing and the outdoors.
Lorraine will make sure that the finest detail of your stay is well and truly attended to. If you have any questions at all, Lorraine will make sure you are provided with the right information and have all the facilities you need to make sure your group has an enjoyable stay at Portland Bay Lodge.
